Hop into the wonderland of Valeria’s Klezmer Chariot for a journey through joyous Eastern European moods! Let your feet jump high and your hands clap tight following the beats of playful accordion and tuba topped by virtuosic and passionate clarinet improvisations.

The ensemble’s repertoire includes exotic arrangements of Klezmer and Balkan melodies, Yiddish and Hebrew songs, as well as original Klezmer​ ​​compositions, written by the lead clarinettist, Valeria Conte, an Italian musician who lived across all​ of​ Scandinavia and halted in Stockholm to create an energetic Klezmer band with vibrant and eclectic musicians.

The band can perform as a trio, (clarinet, accordion, tuba), as a quintet (with drums and one more melodic instrument), or as a septet (clarinet, trumpet, violin, viola, accordion, tuba, drums), and will surely bring to your event a happy and sentimental atmosphere drenched of dances and stomping feet!

Valeria's Klezmer Chariot has collaborated with Limmud Stockholm, Paideia folkhögskola, and the Jewish community in Stockholm (Judiska Församlingen i Stockholm). In August 2022, they represented the Swedish Jewish National Minority performing at the 5 Folk Festival. In July 2023, the trio toured Poland with the circus-music-theatre performance Sladami Singera, Following I. B. Singer's Traces, produced by Lublin's Teatr NN. In October 2023, the quartet performed a concert and held a dance workshop at the Jewish Culture Festival of Klaipeda, Lithuania. In September 2024, the quartet toured Western Lithuania, performing 7 concerts in 7 cities and towns.

Two members of the band are currently involved in EFO - European Friendship Orchestra, a Terrastella Scen och Film circus-theatre, directed by Maria Magdolna Beky Winnerstam and funded by The Swedish Arts Council and Musikverket.  The trio is also the supporting band of the Open-Air Klezmer Jam Sessions - Stockholm (OAKJS).
